Accessibility
TC Bus Data aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, so every rider can check their bus.
What works
- Every screen works with a keyboard alone, and each new screen starts at its heading.
- Buttons and links have names for screen readers, and touch targets are at least 44 pixels.
- You can find a stop by number or street as well as on the map, and a route's stops are listed as text beside its map.
- Live times are marked for screen readers, not only in green.
- Text and colors meet WCAG contrast levels in light and dark mode.
- The app is in English, Spanish, Somali, Hmong, Vietnamese, Oromo, Amharic and Karen.
Known limits
- Maps are visual. Use the stop search and stop lists instead.
- Service alerts come from Metro Transit and MVTA in English.
- Street View photos come from Google and may be out of date.
